1. Use a Firewall Program:-
                                         Spyware attacks your privacy, slows down your computer or they can even crash your system. Using a good firewall program is a first prevention method because many spyware programs can remotely be placed on your system if unauthorized access to your system or network is not blocked by a good firewall program.

2. Update your operating system and other software applications:-
                                                                                                         The other important spyware prevent tip is to update your operating system and all the other software application. If you are using Windows XP, you can update your operating system by doing this start > settings > control panel > and double click automatic updates.
3. Adjust your browser’s security settings:-
                                                                    Another great way of blocking the spyware and other malicious codes from entering into your system is to adjust the security settings of your web browser. If you are using internet explorer, you can set the security settings in this way. Open internet explorer > Tools > Internet options > and security tab. Here you can adjust the security settings by allowing and blocking certain sites.

You can use security tools from any reliable sources on web. You can also install Microsoft’s antispyware program, which is available from the Microsoft website. You can also install Windows defender program that will scan your system and detect the hidden spyware programs.
5. Surf Securely:-
                        Another prevention tip is to block the suspicious download websites and only download something from the trusted sources and read all the security warnings, license agreements and avoid any file sharing programs, which are the main causes of the spyware.
